Competition weekends 2024
Competition Weekends have been a blast this season so far!
This page will have all of the meeting/warm-up information, schedules and other important information.
**Please remember that we don’t get exact performance information from the competitions until a week before the individual events.
Bravo! Information:
1-Arrival and Warm-Up:
Dancers should be ready at the school 2 hours before their scheduled performance time, or at doors open. Please see below for more details per dance/company. Please click HERE for the Final WBDC schedule.
Please make sure to be on time! Please see below for notes for more specific details for your dancer.
2-Awards
Award Ceremonies are on the schedule and will be held onstage. Dancers must wear WBDC attire to the competition and onstage when accepting awards.
Come early, stay late, and cheer on WBDC dancers!
3-Photos & Video
Taking photos and video at the competition is not permitted. Photos and Videos can be purchased at the competition.
4-Livestream
The entire competition and awards will be livestreamed. Please click here!
Reminders for all Competitions
1-Bring lots Water!
2- Bring backup tights, shoes, and triple check that you have all your costume pieces!
3- We love friends and family members coming to cheer on dancers! Please make sure that they do not come into the dressing room. The dressing room is for dancers and the adult family member assisting with costume changes.
4-Make sure to not have nail polish on, tattoos showing, extra piercings in, colored hair showing, etc.

Friday 5/17:
4:15pm All Petite Solos and Duets should meet with staff members for warm-up.
All Teen solos and all Teen and Senior Duets/Trios need to be there two hours ahead of time and check-in with your choreographer.
“Broken Resolution Props”: Riley will push the box on. Riley, Lucie, Izzy, Gretta and Maelee will assist with clean-up. Bacon please take props home with you after Wednesday’s rehearsal and please see Jenny for money for whip cream.
Saturday 5/18:
Junior solos and Junior Duets/Trios should be there two hours ahead of time and all WBDC staff will be available beginning 7:30am for warm-up.
All Hip Hop Company 3, Junior Small Groups and Junior Company need to be there two hours ahead of time. At 11:30am or immediately following the morning awards please meet Layla, Katie, Jenny, Gretchen Bacon, Bonnie, Abby, Sienna, Ella P, Sofia and Maiken for warm-up. Dancers in Junior Company that are not in another dance, heads up this meeting is before two hours ahead to accomodate everyone’s schedules. Please do not be late. The assistants listed will also help with the Gargoyle Boxes. Junior Company Dancers and Hip Hop Company 3 dancers in more than just Hip Hop, please be in freeforms for warm-up.
Production dancers, not in Junior Company, need to be there two hours ahead of time and meet Gretchen at 2:30pm. All above assistants should meet Gretchen at 2:30pm to warm-up Production, too.
Teen Company, Teen Company Small Groups, “Wonderland” and Hip Hop Company 4 will meet for warm-up at 2:30pm with production. “We Didn’t Start The Fire” will want to meet up after production awards to warm-up together.
Sunday 5/19:
“Rich Girls”, “U Can’t Touch This”, “Pulled”, “Bend & Snap” and "Final Love Letter” please be in the building 2 hours ahead of time or at doors open and WBDC staff will be available for warm-up beginning 7:40am. “Final Love Letter” Papers Throwers: Sofia, Maiken, Abby, Ella P. Clean Uppers: “Final Love Letter” dancers, Sofia, Maiken, Abby, Ella P, Emily and all “Rich Girls” and “U Can’t Touch This Dancers”. Stephanie will you please hold Alaina’s costume parts for “Bend and Snap”.
Petite Company needs to be there two hours ahead of time and meet Gretchen and Lucie B at 9:30am to warm-up. Please be in Tap costume, but have freeforms on and keep legwarmers and bracelets with tap shoes in the dressing room.
Senior Company needs to be in the building to hours ahead of time and please talk to Jenny about warm-up.
Senior Soloists, we will all meet immediately after awards to prepare for the evening. If you don’t dance until later, please be there two hours before your performance time and check in with your choreographer.
