Hip Hop Company 4 is for dancers ages 10-16. This company competes 1 dance in 4 Regionals and 1 Nationals for the 2024-25 season. This is an audition based company.

September-May for tuition

Dancer Package payments which includes costumes, competition entry fees, extra rehearsal fees, all miscellaneous fees, recital t-shirt and a recital video is due on the 15th of the month Sept-March.

Hip Hop Company 4 will compete at 4 Regionals and 1 Nationals. We will not know the exact schedule until the week before the competitions.

Masquerade March 21st-23rd at the Ames Center Burnsville, MN.

Celebration Talent Competition April 11th-13th at the DECC in Duluth, MN.

Leap Competition May 2nd-4th at Roy Wilkins Auditorium St. Paul, MN.

Bravo Dance & Talent Competition May 16th-18th at Shakopee High School PAC.

Celebration Nationals Competition June 24th-29th at the DECC in Duluth, MN.

Optional Second Nationals Bravo Best In The Midwest Summer Bash July 7th-July 13th at the Stephens Auditorium in Ames, IA.

Sweatpants, shorts, tank tops, and T-shirts, Hair Tied Up, and CLEAN tennis shoes. Please make sure they are not the same tennis shoes you wore off the street.

Please remember that extra jewelry (bracelets, necklaces and long earrings) and smart watches are not allowed in class.

We will have a full Company Dress Rehearsal Weekend 2/22-2/23 at Lakeaires Elementary School. (3963 Van Dyke St, White Bear Lake, MN 55110).

The week before dress rehearsal/performance/competition and any mandatory scheduled rehearsals/technique classes including Nationals if applicable, are just that, mandatory. Failure to attend rehearsal or class be it for cleaning, choreography, or technique, may result in removal from part or whole of choreography or performance. School graded events should be discussed with WBDC staff ahead of time for exception. There will be no refunds for competition entries.

Any company dancers, Level 1 or 2, will have an adjusted schedule the weeks leading up to dress rehearsal and/or competition weekends. We often have to change times/days to accommodate rehearsal schedules for those that have their weekly classes during the various events. Full updated schedules will be available in DSP calendars in January 2025. Dancers will be required to be at all rehearsals.

All girls will be doing a sleek low bun (no bun form) which is even with the bottom of the hairline and with a clear center part that goes from front hairline to the top middle of head even with ears this season.

All Boys must have a clean cut/current hair cut without it being in their face.

We will be using WBDC/DSP accounts for all Music and Rehearsal Videos. All Level 1, Level 2 and Hip Hop Companies, Small Groups and Production will have their music uploaded AFTER the first night of class.

Solos/Duets/Trios will have their music uploaded late August/early September. Some dancers begin pieces earlier than others, only due to scheduling of choreographers and multiple pieces. It doesn’t have any other meaning then it is impossible for everyone to start at the exact same time and it is impossible to edit/upload everything at the same time.

Private Lessons are booked with WBDC staff members to work on technique, new skills, conditioning, etc. We open these lessons periodically and dancers can request specific staff members. This is all based around studio availability. We are working to have more of these available as time/space allows. Any dancer regardless of WBDC program can elect to book a Private Lesson. They are booked per 1/2 hour time slots and must be paid in full before the start of the lesson.

Company Solo/Duet/Trio Packages are auditioned based and include 6 hours of private lessons and choreography intended for the creation/use during current competition season by a Company dancer(s). Additional lessons are confirmed after Solo/Duet/Trio Showing in January 2025 with WBDC staff and scheduled through Nationals 2025. Package payment is completed in the fall and then a payment plan is arranged for the remaining winter/spring/summer rehearsals.

Private Lessons for dancers with excessive absences or falling behind in company choreography may need to be arranged by WBDC staff members when the various situations arise to help a dancer. They are booked per 1/2 hour time slots and must be paid in full before the start of the lesson.escription

Energy Dance Competition February 28th-March 2nd at Chanhassen High School in Channhassen, MN.

Energy Solo Entry $172, Duet/Trio Entry (per person) $105, Group Entry $95 (per person)

Act 1 Talent Competition March 14th-16th at Lakeville North High School.

Act 1 Solo Entry $188, Duet/Trio Entry (per person) $112, Group Entry $95 (per person)

Registration is on your Dancer’s Company Registration Link and the entry fees will be added to your Dancer Package.

If not all dancers select a small group, duet or trio, we will notify dancers involved and that piece will not compete. Since it is an optional event and so early in the season, we will not be re-blocking any pieces with the exception of some of the older more advanced groups who have more experience.

Optional Nationals Competition:

Bravo Best In The Midwest Summer Bash July 7th-July 13th at the Stephens Auditorium in Ames, IA.

Bravo Nationals Solo Entry $175, Duet/Trio Entry (per person) $110, Group Entry (per person) $160 and Production Entry (per person) $165. For all groups and production some re-blocking and general rehearsal times are calculated into the costs. For all solos, duets and trios the extra rehearsal time will be calculated into the second payment plan after Solo/Due/Trio showings in January 2025.

If not all dancers select a small group, duet or trio, we will notify dancers involved if we are able to re-block the piece and it can compete or not. Since it is the very end of the season we will re-block as much as possible, but sometimes it still just doesn’t work for a variety of reasons.

WBDC picture week for all Recreational and Company Classes, Small Groups and Solos/Duets/Trios that elect to participate will be March 24th-30th at WBDC-WBL.
